This is the Mercedes AMG Project One.This is bringing the technology from the Dominant Mercedes-AMG Formula Car to the street. The most direct transfer of technology being the engine. Current F1 regs dicate that the engine must be a turbocharged 90-degree V-6 displacing 1.6 liters. It must have four overhead camshafts actuating four vales per cylinder and pneumatic valve springs, it cannot rev higher than 15,000 rpm. Mercedes Hyper car is powered by this 1.6 liter v6. Derived from the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team but with a few key differences. For the sake of longevity, this V-6 generates at a lower rpm for the street. The Projects One claimed total output is about 1000 horsepower, The combustion in this is making about 520-hp, The power peak is reduced from the race engine’s 11,500 rpm to around 9,000 rpm, even though the redline is still upward of 10,000 rpm. The street version idles at around 1,000 rpm, down from the 4000 rpm in the race car.

In addition to the 161-hp MGU-K motor that is integrated with the engine and driving the rear wheels, the Project One gets two additional 161-hp motors to power its front wheels independently. These motors are geared to the wheels; they have the ability to provide greater regenerative braking and capture up to 80 percent of the deceleration energy produced during regular driving. These motors are independently controlled this allows the motors to provide torque vectoring to improve high speed cornering.The three electric motors produce a combined 483 horsepower in the Project One. This car uses the same type of lithium-ion battery as the F1 car and an upsized version of the race cars 800- volt system. The battery pack in this car is larger than the one used in F1. Part of the reason is to feed the two additional 161-hp motors powering the front wheels. The Project One plug-in hybrid has a claimed range of only 15 miles.

The engine which is mid-mounted is connected to an eight-speed sequential transaxle from f1 supplier Xtrac this hydraulically actuated gearbox can be operated automatically or be shifted by using paddles. This car rides on very sophisticated suspension that borrows F1 design elements. The Project One’s carbon ceramic brake rotors work with the regenerative braking system to reduce speed. The tyres on this are bespoke Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres: 285/35ZR-19s on 10-inch-wide wheels in front and 335/30ZR-20s on 12 inchers in the rear.

Mercedes said the Project One has a top speed of more than 217 mph and can accelerate to 124 mph in less than 6.0 seconds. If it delivers on those figures, that acceleration would exceed that of the Bugatti Veyron (zero to 120 mph in 7.2 seconds), the Porsche 918 (the same in 6.7), or any of the other recent hyperexotics that we haven’t tested—in a car with air conditioning, power windows, and the Mercedes COMAND infotainment system.Production is expected to begin in the second half of 2019 with a run of only 275 cars costing about $2.7 million each. The New TVR Griffith

TVR is back with the Brand new Griffith. With the launch of its 90,000pound ($118,548) V-8 powered supercar. This car packs a 5.0-litre quad-cam V-8 unit that is usually seen in Ford Mustang. But overhauled by Cosworth to deliver more power and torque. It’s dry sumped to lower the center of gravity and has 50/50 weight distribution.The Griffith uses a Tremec Magnum six-speed manual instead of dual-shift semi-auto transmission. The Griffith having a dry weight of 1250 kg this car is very light and boasts a power-to-weight ratio of 400bhp-per-tonne. This should put the Griffith into supercar territory. 0-100mph in six and a bit seconds with a 200 mph top speed.

The new Griffith is revolutionary in other key areas. It’s the first production car to deploy Gordon Murray Design’s iStream technology. This simplifies the manufacturing process while introducing carbon fiber giving the new Griffith structural rigidity TVR’s of the past never possessed. The chassis consists of carbon composite bonded to steel and aluminum, with body panels also in composite. The iStream tech gives the Griffith notable crash performance: the energy loads are directed through front and rear crash structures, leaving the chassis intact. It also has a fully flat underfloor so if a 200mph mission does present itself, you won’t end up troubling air traffic control. Aero? On a TVR?

The new Griffith has fully electric steering for the fist time in a TVR. The suspension uses double wishbones at either end, with adjustable coil-over dampers and concentric springs. This car rides on 275/30 tyres on 20in rims at the rear, 235/35 on 19’s at the front. To help this car stop it has a breaking system that uses six-piston aluminum calipers And two piece 370mm diameter ventilated discs upfront, four-piston ally calipers and two-piece 350mm vented discs at the rear. The Griffith has ABS and configurable traction control. The bonkers TVR interior’s of the past have been retired. The new Griffith gets bespoke dials and centrally mounted portrait infotainment screen. TVR has sold almost all of it’s 500 Launch editions, at £90,000 this is more expensive than TVR’s of the past. But this is a more refined different TVR.

TVR’s new sport’s car will debut debut on Friday

This will be the British manufacturer TVR’s first sportscar offering in a decade. The new TVR will be revealed at the Goodwood Revival Earls Court Motor Show, honoring the brand’s 70th anniversary. The debut announcement includes a lone teaser image of the proposed sports car alongside its retro counterpart. The design was penned by David Seesing with help from Gordon Murray Design. Gordon Murray was responsible for such supercars as the Mclaren f1, and the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.

The new TVR will reportedly come with 480 hp(357 kilowatts) and a manual gearbox. It is powered by a cosworth of 5.0 liter V8 engine, this car has a estimated 0-60mph of under 4 seconds “easily” also a top speed of 200 mph. The dry weight of the vehicle should be at less than 2,755 pounds(1,250 kg) this will give this sportscar a  power-to-weight ratio of 400 hp (298 kW) per ton.

The first 500 cars will were a launch edition badge, the pricing is estimated to be around 90,000($118,000). Many of the owners have already placed there deposit of 5,000. Deliveries are expected to began sometime in 2019. Tvr says that different variations of this vehicle will be less expensive and more expensive than the launch edition. Aspark Owl The Japanese Electric Supercar you never heard of.

I am definitely sure you have never heard of the name Aspark Oak. Well the Aspark Owl is a Japanese Electric Supercar that is heading to the Frankfurt Motor Show as the quickest accelerating car in the world. The Japan-based Aspark has been developing an electric vehicle since 2014 according to it’s official website. This previously unheard of machine will debut in less than two weeks time at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The people behind this car should reveal all of the juicy technical specifications.

At the moment, we only know the performance-oriented EV has a full carbon fiber body and rides on super light magnesium wheels to further reduce weight. This car is (39 inches/990 millimeters) in height making it less than one meter tall and it aims to deliver mind blowing acceleration as the 0-62 mph(0-100 kph) is said to take less than two seconds.

 

 

It is not know at this point whether this will be a production model or a concept we only have these official renderings to go by and they’re not the highest of quality. The overall appearance suggest it’s more of a track beast only or the extremest of road cars with it’s low slung supercar looks.
